Nikita discovered her love for movement from a very young age, playing soccer competitively and taking Irish dancing classes from the age of five. She discovered yoga when she was 12 years old and has been practicing ever since. Nikita recently completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yoga to the People and is now teaching group classes throughout the city. She received her kids yoga training from Hosh Yoga and is teaching children’s classes in schools throughout the five boroughs. She is currently working on obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at Hunter College and hopes to start her own non-profit organization combining her love for yoga and health/wellness with her passion for food justice and sustainability, to bring health and nutrition education to families and schools in low-income urban areas. She truly believes that every person deserves access to healthy, sustainable food and movement regardless of their income level, status, race, or ethnicity.
