Pilates Certification School FAQs
-
Legally, you do not need a Pilates Certification or Certificate to teach Pilates because Pilates is an unregulated industry. What you do need is to complete a comprhensive Pilates Teacher Training Program that will prepare you for an interview audition that will be the determining factor in getting a teaching position.
-
While some organizations claim they have an “Accredited Certification or Certificate”, this only proves that you completed a Teacher Training Program. And since the Pilates industry is not regulated, the Certificate does not prove that you have the skill level you apply for a teaching position. Only the your teaching audition will determine whether or not you get hired.
-
When you apply for a teaching job you will be asked to give an audition to show your teaching skills. Getting a teaching job will hinge on whether or not they like your audition, not a piece of paper that says you’re a “Certified Pilates Teacher”. The piece of paper only confirms you finished a program.

If no request is received, the Program Director may not allow the student to continue.
