An education in body awareness is the first and most important step in changing the way you look and feel. At Gramercy Pilates NYC, our certified teachers will educate you on how to move your body correctly and efficiently for greater fitness success and to avoid injuries. We’ll create an achievable fitness program that is anatomically and bio-mechanically customized for your body. This fitness program will include our unique Movement Principles Methods to insure you utilize proper breathing, pelvic and core stabilization, shoulder and hip mechanics and more.

USE PILATES AS YOUR FOUNDATION FOR FITNESS.

Make Pilates part of your regular fitness routine. You’ll improve your posture, alignment, balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. What’s more; if you’re a runner, bicyclist, swimmer, spinner, weight lifter, dancer, hiker or participate in any other activity, your performance will greatly improve and with much less risk of injury.

OUR SPACE

We have designed our studio with the exclusive Gramercy neighboring park in mind with leafy green walls, sunny lighting, and a wide-open floor plan, making it a breath of fresh air from the moment you walk through the door or elevator. We’ve invested in the latest, state of the art equipment that includes Pilates Reformers and Towers, the Core Align, and many props to help make your Pilates experience both challenging and safe.

Approved by the Pilates Method Alliance, (PMA), Gramercy Pilates NYC offers a comprehensive Teacher Training Certification Program for Mat and Equipment that is designed for prospective Pilates teachers. Our program transcends just learning how to teach exercises, you’ll also learn how and why exercises really work for a variety of clients including those with medical restrictions.

We have by far the best selection of  Pilates classes each week, all taught by our own certified Pilates teachers. With a  reputation for providing correct instruction that is unheralded, our focus is always on giving you a safe full body movement experience.

Signature Classes: Intermediate/Advanced Reformer/Tower, Pilates for Text Necks, Pilates for Bad Backs,  Pilates Butt Camp Class, Straighter, Stronger, Leaner, Longer, Beginner Reformer/Tower and Jumpboard Integration on the Reformer.
